Classic Yacht Peter Robyn - Masthead Sloop -To be relaunched Frid in BLACKMANS BAY, Tasmania for sale

Peter Robyn is a copy of the yacht Restive, featured in Eric Hiscock's book, Cruising Under Sail. Nigel Warrington Smyth, the designer wanted a modern cruising yacht, "... large enough to accomodate three people for a summer cruise, but small enough to be handled by himself and his wife. Its lines show a hull with moderate displacement and draught, and considerable freeboard." The stern has a lot of tumble-home, a pleasing and characterful feature.
Apart from Restive, now in Vancouver, Canada and Peter Robyn in Tasmania, another was built for the brother of Warrington Smyth and is moored on the Tamar River in the U.K. The story is told on my website, http://pratkins.webs.com
Peter Robyn is a beautiful yacht, with very pleasing lines and an excellent sea-boat.
It is reluctantly offerd for sale, after 18 years of ownership and pleasure by the present owner. It is built of Oregon planking on Spotter Gum and is powered by a Yanma 2QM20 diesel engine.
After annual maintenance, Peter Robyn can be seen out of the water until approximately 3.15pm tomorrow, Friday Dec. 19. She displays her beautiful lines and can be seen to be in excellent condition.
